Where does the antenna on the module for the key code plug into on the ignition? Theres a black and a black and white wire that isnt plugged in to anything and if that came unplugged, could it have erased the key code? Cuz ive read that if the PAT system wasnt getting a signal that it would take away the ground from the starter relay, and wouldnt initally give 12 volts but only 6 volts to the inertia switch. And whats happening. Thanx for your time and help.

The transceiver has a four wire harness.it does not plug into the ignition, it surrounds it with the antenna and plugs in next to the steering column under the dash....I don't have my wiring diagram in front of me but the solid black wire I believe is for the contact that tells the truck the key is in the ignition. The key code is stored in the PCM, When a key is inserted and the igniton is turned to run the PCM sends a signal to the key through the antenna (transceiver) and the key responds. If it is a key the PCM recoinizes, theft light goes out truck starts. Nothing you do with the tranceiver will effect the key codes. PCM issues and bad keys are the only thing that will do that.

Thanx for replying i just cant fiqure out where the antena from the iginition tumbler plug into does it plug itto the column or sumwhere else
