Third one. Anyone else have this issue? These were all OEM Strattec H84/H92 PATS keys. Never dropped or thrown, and only a small Viper keyless entry remote and house key on the chain hanging from the ignition. No reinforcement found inside the broken key loops. Black material almost feels like a rubberized plastic when drilling and sanding. Rather than buy more expensive blanks to cut and program, found a similar Ford Focus key picture on line that was opened up showing the location of the transponder chip. Drilled a hole and wet sanded the rough edges. Hopefully no more broken key loops.
