- '97 Explorer 4.0 SOHC
Hello,
I have a 1997 Explorer 4.0 SOHC, European version, meaning it has a Bosch Immobiliser system (the one with one botton on the remote) and sometimes, after I start the engine the THEFT light on the dash flashes a code at me. There are a total of 5 flashes which could mean either 113, or 23.
The flashes are like this:
flash -long pause- flash -long pause- flash -pause- flash -pause- flash
And this code is repeated I think twice.
After this the light stays on.
The car starts like normal, and works OK, it doesn't cut the fuel or something.
Does anyone have any idea why is this happening?
