PATS problem,BIG problem

I have a 2001 4dr explorer 4.o shoc 4x4. I have recently noticed my Theift light starting to blink real fast while driving , then the vehicle shuts off. after an hour it will start right up like nothing happened. Also sometimes when I try to start it. the liight flashes real fast and cranks but does not start. Again after an hour it useally starts........ Keys are new, and now the vehicle has become a safty issue. if it shuts off while driving, thats an issue... Any help PLEASE !!!.. if I need a nes PATS module fine.. a new pcm, fine... My local Ford dealer said, we cant find anything wrong with it.. next time it happens call us.. what a joke !!!!

How to check your pats, turn the key but not on. If it flashes fast you have a code. Wait till it stops. Flashing code will now be 1:2,1:3,1:4 or more each code will tell you the problem. Here is a quick list of two digit codes 1:2 transceiver mal###tion,1:3 key code not picked up by transceiver,1:4 partial code sent by tranceiver, 1:5 key code not found in pats,1:6 faulty link between pats and pcm. All codes will keep you from starting. I changed my transceiver and fixed my truck. Good luck!
