PCM Question

I have a 93 Explorer Eddie Bauer. It needs a PCM and I'm thinking it has an aftermarket or reman PCM in it now as it has no part # on it. Is there any way to detirmine which one I need, or will any 93 Fed emission at unit work?

Cant find info on ECU anywhere. Any help at all! I know there is a genius here somewhere!!!

At least 2 things, probably more: The PCM is different for manual and auto transmissions. Also, just your luck, the '93 year did two different fuel injection schemes, batch and sequential.

Edit: Also whether your X has Calif or Federal emissions package, as you already know.

Actually, what you might do is call your Ford dealer with your VIN and get their current part number. You should be able to use that info to buy, perhaps from one of the forum's fine sponsors.
