My truck is throwing codes for fuel-air ratio condition and research here tells me the first thing to check is vacuum leaks. (P0171 / P0174)

That's my problem - has anyone ever fished the hose from the back side of the SOHC V-6 engine intake manifold!?

I was able to pull the PCV and the two hoses (all's well there) attached but it seems all but impossible to pull the hose going down to the back side of the intake. Is there a clamp on the hose to the intake?

Any tips, secrets, workarounds would be a tremendous help...

Thanks

Yeah, I did read that post before - Thanks.

I pulled and cleaned the MAF sensor, sure didn't look bad (or that dirty). I'm at a loss here. My car runs fine, which is aggravating too? And that CEL will bug me to no end...

Well now - I've found something that definitely needs to be addressed! Pulled a very rusty plug out of #5 cylinder. Gap is at 0.100" ! Just a little worn out, eh? 143,000 on the odometer.

Why are AGSF - 22PP plugs so hard to find? What's a reasonable substitute?
