How in the heck can one find, remove, and replace this on the 5.0?? I tried, but couldn 't even get my hand on it. It's behind the intake manifold somewhere...There some trick to this or what ?

I have been trying for 3years.

Yep; a real PIA to access. I kept putting mine off, and the valve was shot. Go ahead and do it now, instead of delay like me.

re: pcv

Well. I managed to get to it, and pull it off the engine. That reply was great info...But I couldn't get it off the hose line, which has hardened and pretty much fused to the valve.. I also couldn't get the hose off wherever it's connected. So I had to put the old one back in. However, As i was trying to get it out, I did hear it rattling. So it still may be good. And DAMN what a drag. I'm just glad I didn't drop anything back there. That would have been hell.

I managed to find my PCV Valve!! Question I have, small end goes into the hose, does the other end connect to anything? It's been years since I have replaced a PCV valve and for some reason I don't remember it terminating like this.

Do you mean that there are two connection T's on the replacement PCV valve? If so, there should be a plug for the unused one.

Some PCV valves will come with an assortment of ends to hook up to the vacuum hose. Atleast MotorCraft valves will.
