does anyone know where the pcv valve is on a 92 explorer, its an auto if that helps at all., im trying to replace it and cant find it

on top and to the rear of the driver side valve cover.

Its just above cylinder #3 (closest to the fire wall) on the drivers side. BTW it doesn't look the same as the parts store PCV valves that you can buy when you replace it.

I looked at the new PCV valve that I bought and started looking for something similar under the hood. No dice. The factory one is flat and sits flush on the valve cover, the parts store ones have two outlets at the top that stick up about 1 1/2". If you are planning on replacing it you will need to buy a few inches of PCV hose so that you can re-route the hose from the intake manifold to the PCV valve. Don't forget to plug the small outlet on the new PCV valve!!
