I just got a Gibson stainless kit for my 2000 Limited 4.0SOHC. Absolutely love the kit, I believe they also have an application for the V8 model. Where I live in the salt belt, I needed something that wouldn't rust through and carried a good warranty. At almost $700CDN, it was a little pricy, but worth every penny.

The stainless 2.5in piping is mandrel bent, the stainless muffler is a high flow design, much smaller and less restrictive than stock, and offers superior ground clearance.

The slashed-cut 3in chrome tip completes the look quite nicely, and the sound is incredible. Deeper, throatier, with noticeable power increase in the 2500-4500 rpm range. This is great for more power around town and lower speeds, and provides excellent passing power on the highway as well. I definitely noticed a synergistic effect from all my other mods after installing the exhaust kit (my most recent mod).

From my early experience with this, I'd definitely recommend anything Gibson for a V8 application as well.

*EDIT This link will help you find the Gibson part # for your particular application:

I run dual str8 pipes out behind the rear tires with 3.5" tips. Rear to cats gone and no mufflers. Real loud and gets a lot of attention! Sounds good!
