Hey all, got some performance data on Splat for y'all.

My dad and I recently went out to get some speedo data on my truck so I could calibrate it. After we were done doing that, we had a little fun. He has a 98 Mercedes SLK 230 with a factory reprogrammed computer for a little more oomph. Factory supplied performance numbers on his car are 6.7 sec 0-60 and 15.1 in the 1/4 mile.

We raced 4 or 5 times from lights. A few times on a rural road (speed limit 70). Every time Splat and his car were dead even, up to about 60. He pulls away a little above 50 or 60, probably due to air resistance.

So...I'm betting my numbers are pretty close to his, around 6.7 0-60 and 15.3 in the 1/4. I've gotta take it to the track soon.

thats awesome! those are good numbers!

Yup, the truck is by no means a super hot rod, but is pretty good for a 4500+ lb truck with 31's and the profile of a brick!

Ha thats funny. I was thinkin along the same lines.

Any of you race a trailblazer?

What do they have for gearing! It kept up with me for a while. Not bad for a Chev v-6

Actually the new Trailblazer has an Inline six.

I've raced a GMC Envoy a couple of weeks ago. This dude that was driving it seemed like he needed a ego boost or something by racing an "explorer". He still had the dealer issue tag on the back and everything. It has the same inline 270HP as the Trailblazer. Results? Ate his lunch, took em to skool etc. etc. I donno if he took the car back to trade for a X or what, but he sure didn't look happy
