So it is time for a rebuild. I want performance with an every day driver (but willing to sacrifice a little). The stock motor was equipped with a BBK supercharger, MAF, TB. I am looking to get the most out of the BBK supercharger and think that the 422 cam is the answer.

The heads are where HP gains or losses are made. For the heads, $ is not an issue. Where can I find the best set of heads with all the mods I would need; Port and polish, machined for better springs (what springs are the best) and the valve guides (what guides are the best) cut down for the retainer clearance (if going with the 422 Comp cams 988-12?). Valves, SI valves - SEV2027exh, SEV - 2028 int.?

Delta rockers? Push rods, smith brothers 5.525 with Delta rockers, is this correct?

I have the JBA headers already. What about oil pump? water pump, who has the best price?

What about Pistons, , Silv-O-Lites? I want a good set. The motor will of course be balanced. And Nitrous may one day flow into the heart of this X.

Any help, ideas, something I am missing? etc. will be greatly appreciated. And I will keep everyone informed of the transformation of my X.

i dont think its as much a question of the engine being strong enough then it is the transmission behind the engine lasting with that much horses

yeah hope you have a 5 speed

doing the C4 swap

that solves it
