performance resistors?

i was originally planning on getting a Jet performance module for my 4.0 x but then i went on ebay and saw some of the "performance chips" for 20 bucks. Obviously there just resistors, but they do claim to help HP a little and thats really all i need at the moment. Im not as much worried about them being almost a waste of money as i am worried about them hurting my truck.

Normally I would say yes they will make your Ex a little quicker.
But the wgt reduction in your wallet is offset by the wgt of the resistors.

Also, and don't take my word for it because I haven't used one, but I haven't heard very good things about the Jet Chip either. Do plenty of research on them before making the purchase.

Like I said, I don't have experience, just what I have heard..........

well i already purchased it. As of now, im not as concerned about the gains as i am about the losses. I stupidly already purchased it, so i just wanna know if itll do any damage or increased wear granted it is installed correctly.

Boomin mentioned something about it killin my cats. Can anyone else confirm this?

Don't even bother with the install, is a waste of time, they will not work.
As for killing your cats I dunno but I had a dawg once that ate a capacitor, killed him deader than s$$t

well its already too late not to puchase it. So the thirty bucks is blown.
The question now is, should i resell it on Ebay or should i install it? Like i said, i dont reallly care what the performance increase is at this point, as long as theres no harmful effects. thanks.

$30 for a couple resistors? Good lord! Look on the bright side, you can use them if you ever add LED's to your X

DON'T install them. They will ruin your mileage by causing your X to run rich, which will kill your cats, and that's the least of the possible problems. I wouldn't resell them, it's dishonest.
