unless I could get a note from a doctor saying I have some weird eye thing, I couldnt do that.. in IL, as Im sure in many states, it is illegal to have tint on the 2 front windows. maybe I could get away with something really light.. do they make a 50% or lighter?

looks good, but is it the rims and the tint or just the rims?

tint, rims, removed pinstriping and removed limited badging, oh and clear taillights painted partially red like the new ones for 95

Sorry Guy I dont like those rims on your Truck. To be honest I like the Limited Rims Better plus those rims are not going to fit with out cutting the center caps. I really want to buy a limited X in the future for a Daily driver. I would say put on a Small lift and 31"s

hehe... no lifts for me.. my truck doesnt see enough offroading for that (nor will it ever)..

i dont like the looks of those rims, but you're not doing it to impress me. so go for it:)

i do like everything else though

I couldn't really tell but where those rims from a new X? Looks good, i like when people use some creativity! You can't tint you front 2 windows in IL? man that sucks, i don't know what i'd do w/out tinted windows. I get in my fiance's car and i feel like everyone is looking at me!

Happy trailes!

Steve, you dont have to off-road to lift the X. If you ask me a lift would make it look better.

Kris, but have you ever seen lifted show trucks that never ever get dirty? they look rediculious. and they run Super Swampers and Micky Thompson tires?

I think thats where Steve is coming from. lifted trucks that dont see the off-road are just odd. i mean, spend 600 to 700 bucks on tires that last you 10k miles on pavement, just for looks? thats a tall order, considering that i put 70 + miles a day on my Ranger, and i would blow through 3 sets of tires a year, thats 2100 bucks that i wouldnt get to buy other stuff with. thats alotta dough. you can get 60k miles + out of a good set of street tires that cost's less than 500 for a full set.

Steve, is that what you were saying?

Phil

yessir, that was definiately one of my hesitations. The other being that Id like my truck to perform for street driving. And a 60-70mph topspeed, or a higher center of gravity are not traits of a street mobile. If anything, Id like be be able to improve on road handling, overall speed and acceleration wtihout jepordizing what the truck is made to do stock.. handle stuff a car cant... I dont want an 11 second runner, so I surely wont lower it.. but I dont want an 20 second truck thats going to roll over if I take it around an exit ramp 10mph over.

I am Not talking a show Truck lift here I hate show trucks. I am Talking something like a shackle and Spacer lift or a Rancho or James Duff 2.5" lift with 31" tires like BFG All terrain which will last 50K miles on pavement.

My Navajo is on Pavement more than off-road and I have a Modified James Duff lift and that make the Navajo ride better than my moms stock X. I still do hesitate to Drive the Navajo on the Hwy at 70 mph with out my Rear sway bar.

im looking @ some different things to do to my truck over a long period of time to inprove performance... among those:

- KKM Induction
- Xspec handling package for 91-94's
- Superchip
- rear disc conversion w/ slotted rotors
- Granatelli MAS
- BBK high flow TB
- full exhaust from headers back'
and some day Id like to put a supercharger in there.

with all of that, Id like to think Id have a very street capable vehicle that will compete with many cars, while still maintaining the 4wd and ground clearance that you can only enjoy from an SUV
