PIAA Superwhites not the best?

When visiting the PIAA web site, I found they now have "Xtreme White Plus" bulbs (Dead Link Removed). Matt, did you know about this? Or have I not been to the forum enough lately (damn college!) and missed this???

I *think* the retail is $109, discount places have them at $99, and eBay has anywhere from $50-$80. I don't trust eBay that much, however, with stuff like this...

Anyone seen em side by side the PIAA superwhites? I got a pair of those right now... pretty happy with em, but they didnt exactly blow me away. better than what I had for sure. I just got a set of cheapies that claim to be pretty white... I doubt it... but if they suck, I can just resell em or keep em for backups. anyways...i wanna know some info on these guys!

Wow I didn't even know those were out! (I'm not really a PIAA rep anymore, but I'll do my best to get ahold of a few pairs of those and let you guys know what I think)

yeah, they dont list the lights even on their product page.. its only in the "new" section.

I'd just like to know how much better (if at all noticeable) these are compared to SuperWhites. I already paid enough for my current bulbs, and to drop another chunk for an upgrade that is only a slight amount better is silly. Matt, see if you can get a free set and let us know.

Adam, I recommand you to get a pair of Eurolite's Super Plasma Street Legal bulbs. I think they are $25 and they are great!! I have a pair on my mom's Town and Country and they're a whole lot whiter than the PIAA Superwhites I have on my Explorer when I put them side-by-side. That's one great alternative.

I currently have PIAA 9007 Superwhites. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not going to replace them since I paid too much for them haha. I'll use the things till they die (unless PIAA indeed made a better bulb)!

Yeah...I'm waiting for mine to die so I can get the Eurolites but I'm in no hurry. I love my PIAA 9007's. BTW, how do you like your tires?? I just got rid of mine. I absolutely hated them!!!

The Safaris aren't bad, they're not what I wanted but they get the job done. Amazingly, they're a lot smoother than the Goodyear Wrangler RT/S I had before.

Where do you get those Eurolites? My left headlight just went out last night, and if they're 25 bucks and pretty good quality, I'm game.

I got them at autotoys.com . Look under the lighting section. It's one that is street legal.

OK! Got my xtreme white bulbs today, I popped one in one side so we can do a side-by-side comparison. I hope to have some data for you guys by tonight.
