Hello-

I was wondering if anyone had a picture of the temp sensor for the overhead console actually attached to your x?

I have bought an overhead console from someone and they are trying to locate the temp sensor to send me that too.

Any help or tips of where exactly it is would be great!

thanks.

I can't provide a pic at this time. But if you or the person you are buying it from were to lift the plastic flap on the driver's side, like you were going to replace a headlight, it would be located on the grill support coming from the radiator core support area. It looks like a small lipstick container, black, with 2 wires going to it. Hope that helps.

Here is a pic that shows 2 temp sendors towards the bottom of the pic with the wire connector still attached.

Just some info: My temp sender for my 99 looks a bit different than the one in your pictures. The plug harness looks the same, but my sender looks more like a fat threaded bolt. It actually looks like it has threads on it. I know it is correct for my 99 because the Ford parts guy and I went out and looked under a 99 X in the shop. I'm thinking there might be a few minor differences between the years? I guess if they work...who cares. I just thought that as long as this guy is 'looking' for a sender...he might have several styles to look for. Good luck with the hunt.

PS: I just bought mine at the Ford dealer. It was $10 for the bracket, and $20 for the sender.

Good info to know. Thanks.
