As the title suggests, I am looking for quality pinch weld adapters for my jack stands. I have a pair of craftsman 3.5 ton stands with a V-notch that is oversized for these 6th Gen Explorers' pinch welds. I also have a 5-ton pair that are way too big.

I bought mine a year old and its plain to see that whoever owned it before me, rolled the pinch welds from jacking it incorrectly.

I typically throw a sacrificial piece of scrap 2x4 on my floor jack but that won't quite cut it for jack stands (unless I make an elaborate saddle...)

Open to suggestions - photos if you have them

I was looking at those (or similar) earlier this morning. I am considering whether they will interface with jack stands well (e.g., apply pinch weld extensions, then use jack stands rotated 90* - the extensions lay across the v-notch of the stand post - forming a cross). I'm wondering if it would sit there nicely or run the risk of sliding forward or backward, off of the stand post.

Rubber stand post inserts ("adapters") seem to be a dime-a-dozen on amazon, with variable durability
