No, although the factory radio is manufactured by Pioneer, it does NOT support the IP-BUS connection of the Pioneer CD-RB10. This has been tested, tried, and failed.
Alright then since that adapter ain't gonna work is there another one that will? I really wanna figure out a way to play my ipod through my stereo system without having to buy one of those expensive adapters or using FM modulation.
I have a HARDwired FM modulator in my Limited. It's great. Sound quality is much better than any wireless modulator. They all suck. Don't spend any more money on them. Chopin: if you can read this, did ya get one?
Mine was from ebay. Type "fm modulator" into ebay, and sort by price. They start at about $18. They all come from the same factory in Taiwan anyway. I've had it for over a year and haven't had any problems.
It has two positions. Mine is on 89.1. It connects inline with the antenna jack behind the dash. If you haven't been behind the dash, it's easy. Splice into the power wires of the radio since it's drawing like no power anyway. I put the little power switch in my ash tray.
