Pioneer TS-A6870R Install

For those of you with these speaker that are supposedly ford ready, when you went to install them did they plug right up to the factory harness or did it require some modification?

Just installed some and no they don't plug right up. But with some soldiering I was able to use the adapter from the factory speakers. BTW I removed the covers on the factory speakers and boy are they crappy! What did I expect, I guess. I'll post some pics later if I get a chance.
