How about we leave like noon on Friday? That would give us plenty of time to get up there, setup a camp and maybe do a little wheeling.
I have two tents, a coleman lantern and stove. I can bring four torches too. That should get us started.

OK, here's me:

need:
tent;
sleeping bag;
stove
to cook fast meals (eggs, warm-up canned chilli);
torches
(or something else to keep mosquitos away)
canned food
plenty of bottled water

anything I forgot?

I think we should go Friday around noon since it will take us about 5 hours to get there. Set-up camp, eat, drink, dance, have fun around a camp fire (if permitted) and go to sleep to be fresh up in the morning for some wheeling.

I don't know, just me.

I think that we might not need anything else to keep mosquitos away since I'm gonna bring a few cans of chilli...........

lol

JULY 10TH - 12TH...
I don't know, WIS sceeters are preety mean Dre.
I am going to bring...
2 tents (1 two man and one 6 man)
Colman lantern
Colman stove
4 torches
4 sleeping bags

I think everyone should bring food for themselves, so we don't have a ton of it. :rolleyes:
Maybe TrailMonster can scout a location for a camp and then we can meet him somewhere and he can take us too it.;)

I would sure like kampy to be there if I go but oh what the hell. Like I said I know a few Crazy XJ guys and could get at least 3 or 4 to come along. THis way I can get a tow home if I rack up some more trail injuries. Let me work on this but I'll see. maybe Ryan1 and JamingG4Jim will hop over from the twin cities also. THis could get big fast, but like Attica, people always back out...understandibly. WHAT IS THE SET DATE? Splashman has the 10th-12 on the top of his last post!!!!!!!!!!!

count me in fellas!!! somebody needs to be the entertainment for you guys!! haha..riiiiiiight....anyhoo...if i can talk my dad into it, we have a Camp Kitchen that hy dad and my grandpa made for camping out...has lots of stuff in there, like a stove and all that stuff......so i dunno...just a though....we could share it all or somthing....

goo!

Riff if you call talking in your sleep entertainment we have to get you out a little more.
Hey everybody else check out my thread "Lifting the Fridge" and offer me some comments since I am by no means a pro...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night

Pipeline in July

Oh yeah !!!
I did my 2" body lift this weekend, only a couple bloody fingers and a piece of metal in the eye. It went pretty smooth -- I think I'll name my next two kids after my two favorite tools: "Air Compressor" and "Impact Wrench."

Anyway, looking forward to the the run. I too noticed a couple weekends tossed around in this thread, either one works for me. I strongly recommend getting to the trail during daylight -- too many holes, boulders, branches and other hazzards to explore the trails at night.

My only recommendation is LOTS of mosquito repellant. Hey Dre, can your chilli flatulants also double as "starter fuel" for my grill ??

Trail monster You seem to be quite familiar with this place. Is there anywhere on the web that the others can find out about this place. I sadly don't know about the location even though I am from WI. Also I am not volunteering the NOIEC, but if there is anyone who we can contact to let them know we are organizing a ride, all the better and anything we could do for the park or trail. Even though I'm from WI I am darn proud to be recognized with this group. I'm sure we would like to make a positive impact on the trail and our outing. Hey maybe this would be a good one for me to head up since it's on my soil. I'll go into Magnum P.I. mode and see what I can dig up

Unfortunately, there are no web sites available -- its part of the Nicolet National Forest and never advertised (I'm guessing to keep it from becoming a tourist site and ruining it for those of us who care about the trail and the environment). It took me two years to find out "about" where it is, and found it last fall.

Go back and read thru this thread where I posted the phone number of the ranger service where you can order a detailed map -- its well worth the $8.

Anyone interested in a .jpg image map can e-mail me directly until I get put in the slammer for copyright infringement.

WRONG YOU GOT THE DATES MIXED UP. I even questioned it so I am going to be assertive and say the dates are Friday July 20, 2001 - Sun July 22, 2001. Some may be then going down on thurs night the 19th(that's the same way Attica was set up)

Maps of the Pipeline area can be found by going to www.noiec.com and clicking on the "What's going on" link.

I think I MIGHT be going so put me on the list.

plenty are getting the urge!!!! let's get muddy! Date works for me too..... so far.

Later,

chilli will do wonders I see........:p

Pipeline on July 20-22

Hey Dre,
Plan on total of 5-6 hours from the Wisconsin border when coming up I-94 to Milwaukee then on I-43 to Green Bay (its quicker than going up Hwy 41). I recommend getting there in daylight (by 6:00 ?) which will allow us an hour to find a campsite + an hour to setup camp before its dark. I think your eyes might look like this when we arrive. :eek:

If anyone has a video camera, that would be great, plus I will attempt to "borrow" a digital camera from work.

71 days and counting . . . tick . . . tick . . . tick . . .
