...for now anyways.
I bought it back in september from my aunt who had purchased it new in 1996. It now has 111k miles. I purchased it with 100k. As staited in my sig, it is a 1996 X XL 4x4 manual. Has the 3.22 gears and the only option was "captains chairs" as staited on the window sticker
. I've had an excellent reliability with it until a suspected ball joint is giving me issues (look @ my post down in 95-01 stock explorer's). I have added little modifications; silverstar headlights bulbs, hitch reciever w/ wiring & brake, Westin safari bar, and a drop in K&N filter.
When I first got her:
Beauty shots with my other pride and joy, my 1992 Bonneville SSEi
Enjoying Eastern Washington w/ a trip over to see my sister at Washington State University:
Just put on the safari gaurd (Can you see how much pride I have in my vehicles?!
)
Got my boat out for some summer fun:
Hitch setup:
Then some from the drag strip:
AND, I took home 1st in my division and 3rd all around! Not bad for the first time racing a RWD and manual tranny vehicle!
A little about myself: My name is John S. I have lived in Bonney Lake Washington all my life. I am 18 years old (turning 19 next month). I graduated from Auburn Riverside High School in 2005. As stated, my pride and joy is my modded 92 bonneville SSEi and also a 1998 Alaskan Smoker Craft. I am a moderator over at www.BonnevilleClub.com under the SN "driverjohn2005". I currently go to college, Green River CC, full time while working at Target as a Pharmacy Assistant (Training to be a certified technician.)
Not any stranger to the Blue Oval. My dad own's a 1972 F-250 XLT Camper's Special 2wd with the 390 V8. He also has a 1995 Ford Aerostar 4.0L XLT RWD. My older sister also drives a 1993 Ranger XLT longbed standard Cab RWD w/ the 2.3L
But anways, glad to be here, and hope to be a contributing member (looking into becoming an "Elite Explorer" ~ whatever that is
)
Yours Truely
