What are your guys idea of plastidiping the cladding on the ST?
Have any of you done it?
Id there any STs that you have seen with it?
I just saw people putting it on the bumper, rims, and their car paint.

Don't know what plastidipping is. Not Rhino liner you're thinking of is it?

Well yeah, I know what that is as I use it on tools. I just had never heard of anyone using it for what you're talking about. You planning on brushing it on? It's not the cheapest stuff ya know.

OMG, how are you going to "dip" those huge parts? (Kidding) LOL

True, Offtrac, but I have seen people using of rims and such and it never fades and you don't have all the crap that goes along with painting.

I've never seen it done by anyone in this forum, or anywhere for that matter. I just really don't know enough about it. I support you in trying it, though. A project write-up and 6 month or 12 month review would be great. Of course, it's always easy to spend other people's money. :D

I'd like to see more about this. I still like my Rustoleum flat black, though.

Ah, I didn't look far enough into the plasti-dip site. I've never seen the spray cans of it. Interested in seeing it applied also. Where are you in NC?

Since it comes in colors what are you using? What color is your Trac?

I am in Shelby, NC.
I want to do black.
My ST is white.

That's what she said.

Oh OK. You're close. Bought my Trac/Tracs at Cherokee on 74. My daughter is going to Gardner-Webb Univ. & I have family all around there and Waco so I'm up there fairly regularly. I'll have to see your Plasti-Dip job in person some time.

Oh cool my girl friend attends GWU as well.

Started playing with plasti dip, I used it on the back "Explorer" and "Sport Trac" emblems. I'll post pictures it is really neat stuff. I put a little on the back bumper and it is hard to get off. lol So I guess my next step is the cladding.

I am buying Plastidip today and am going to do my rims next week. After watching countless Youtube vids is seems like a cheap effective solution...time will tell of course. I just don't want to deal with the $$$ and time with painting rims (although I know it looks way better). I will report back once it is complete.

I am interested in seeing how it turns out on the cladding if anyone else wants to...
