What happened?

Ryan

Did something break? It looks like you were just out having fun.

nothing happened to me(yet).. my brothers 99 Ranger went off the road, I had to use a come-along hooked to a tree, and him in 4 low to get him back on the road.. later that day(about half an hour later) while doing some shooting he shot at a rock(with a 30-06), part of it came back and is buried about 3/4" in my chest..

We are asking what went wrong because you posted in the WHOOPS forum, which usually means you got stuck or broke something, and everyone give a description along with their pics.

I guess you learned not to shoot at rocks the hard way

Ryan

yeah, why the whoops?

bullet in chest=WHOOPS!

shooting a 30-06 into a rock thats a big whoops.. Have some common gun safety when shooting something. Theres a few companies out there that will actually make targets for people to shoot out of used tires that have been mulched.

Be careful about those.... good friend, guy down the street accidently shot himself with a 30-06 storing it (he was a big gun saftey guy too, it was totally unexpected) and died not a month ago. A gun is not a toy.

C-5 pewter?

Where at in Oregon were you wheeling? I livein Portland. That looks fun man! How did the X do?

Mr XLT

i know you've probobly gotten sick of it but being stupid with guns is just, well, stupid...take a stupid friend of mine for instance...

we were camping and he had his 12 ga and decided to shoot at a can that was sitting directly in front of the side of my X, and by the time i realized what he was doing, it was too late...bet you can't see whats coming next...

of course the birdshot ricochetted up and shattered my rear quarter glass...man wasn't i ripped...and he's the one always getting PO'ed at other people for not being carefull with their weapons! and i had to pay for it!!!

well at the time i was younger and didn't think my parents would really go for the idea that me and my friends were camping with guns, so i made up a story that one of my other friends that we were pissed at during that time period spun out while i was parked and a rock shattered the glass. well by the time i got it fixed i really didn't care as much, but i (accidently) got him back about a month later when i put my foot through his windshield playing around. :D

Sucks he passed, but not too much of a gun safety freak, if he's leaving his weapons loaded at home...

No, it was the end of their hunting trip, he was loading his gun into the cover, and it fired almost point blank into his chest. The other guys were still out, and heard the shot, but just figured he was taking a shot at some game. When they got there he had about 5 more minutes to live. :(

thats too bad, but why was it still loaded if he was putting it in the case?

Thats a good question. People think he was just trowing it in there to go pick up the other guys... but he had just divorced his wife, and so there is a theroy that it was suicide, but all signs point otherwise.
