is it possible to swap a 97 explorer trans with a 94 explorer trans i checked out both transmission specs as far as speed and gear ratio and they are the same

they are different models, so they will not exchange at all ,
94 is an A4ld, 97 should be a 5r55e, not even close,,

Whats wrong with it? It could be repairable.

after you runit about 30 yards up the road it just gives out and wont move and it blows out tranny fluid after it quits moving
