hay guys, i posted a bit ago, but didnt get a response.
after talking to my buddy over, i believe i have figured out what i need to do.
basicly, i have the audiophile system in my XLT. 6disc w/ sub-amp.
i want to leave all that alone, if possible, and install my own amp/subs.
I was told that i might be able to connect the input the new amp from the rear factory sub, is that correct?
if so, i have a few questions...
1 - is there a how-to remove the head unit on a 04? i saw the sticky, but it talks about removing the whole dash, which i dont know if i need to do. im mostly concerned about the beauty piece around the HU
2- is there a way to do the install without going into the dash IE- Be able to have the power-on lead connected to some ACC wire thats not in the dash? i dont know.
any help would be much appriciated.
thanks in advance
Benjamin
