Hi my name is andria from dallas texas and I have a 97 ford explorer and the 4wd light has been flashing. It is making a crunching metalic noise when I turn and its a little hard to turn as well and it chugs a little too It only happens at lower speeds and when im turning and its fine on the highway Any help would be greatly appreciated oh and my email is andriamblanton@gmail.com

It could have been put into four wheel drive by accident. If is a 4x4 Explorer be sure that you have two wheel drive selected. Four wheel drive shouldn't be enabled on the pavement.
