Ugent.... I am getting tired of my Explorer... look... last month my tranny (auto) went bad and I changed it. Then all the gears shift well but when you are driving like 55 MPH and you push the accelerator slowly, the OD is trying to get into, but it doesn´t, if I want to get one shift before I have to push the pedal fast and it will do.... I am trying to fix it because it is annoying all times, you feel like the explorer is gonna break something on the tranny... so I brought my explorer to a Trasmission Technician and he went for a ride on my explorer and said that the tranny was perfect, it is working perfect but I have troubles with my engine, so he just put it in D and pushed the brake and accelerated the engine hasr and the engine began to miss power, like when timing is not correct, then the engine run great... so I paid for the exam, and then stop at stop sign and suddenly I push gard my accelerator, the engine didn´t respond fine, just hesitates for some seconds and then runs fine... the mechanic told me that at 55 MPH if I want more power, the engine is missing something of power and this effect will be felt by the tranny so that´s why I feel like trying to engage the OD. After this I change the TPS, change wires and the little air temp sensor located close to the IAC valvle in the intake mainfold. The engine still is doing the same... some guy told me it could be the Crank Position Sensor, other say the MAF, I scanned the computer and it didn´t show anything.. can you help me??... as an additional comment... I use the K&N air filter, change oil every 2500 Miles, new battery.
Thanks guys...
