Greetings:
My 93 ford explorer eb edition 4.0 4wd has some type of wedges instead of caliper bolts. They appear to be some sort of 2 piece metal setup with what looks to be a small peice of metal rod jammed into between. This is on the bottom and top of the caliper, whereas normally bolts would go here. I tried to tap them out but only got so far. These bugs are begining to attack!! However, is anyone familiar with this type of setup? It also appears as though the caliper slides off of this slacks. It looks as though I might have to use a small punch to tap via the center (inbetween) each slot to tap it all the way out. They sort of like like this () in addition to having a small type of rod in between them. I am looking for standard caliper bolts, when I just happened upon these
!! Any suggestions and or certain type of tool recommendations would be greatly apprecaited!
Thanks in advance!
