Please Help Stuck in 4x4 low

Hi everyone, I accidentally switched the 4x4 from auto to low (while in park) and when i started driving it would not shut off or return to auto. I tried backing up and turning the switch back and forth from auto to low and vise verse but it still will not disengage. any suggestions?

Put the truck in park or neutral, step on the brake and push the 4auto button with your foot still on the brake. See if that combination will work for you

I am really glad that I stumbled across this link today, because your suggestion worked perfectly, and I cannot thank you enough. my explorer is my baby I practically live in her, and when this happened I went out of my mind trying to figure out what I did wrong. thank you again you saved my butt.

Again, you must be stopped, in neutral, with your foot on the brakes before it will shift into and out of low range.
