Please Help! Transfer Case??

Hey guys i was offroading today when all of a sudden my 91 explorer stopped turnin tires. i shifted out of 4wd, and tried to use 2wd and nothing happened. i had to have my brother tow me out to the road where i could take a look at it. i got under the truck and had my brother put it in gear and try to give it gas. i could see the driveshaft were it comes out of the t-case, almost spinning but instead all that happened was a loud grinding sound. i should also mention that its lifted 5.5 inches and is sitting on 35's, it as a new engine and the transmission was just rebuilt. please help, i love that little truck!

tcase motor blew up take it off and manually move the selector to any of the selections ie 2wd 4hi or 4lo

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your speedy response! So nothing major is wrong with the t-case, all thats needed is a new shifter motor? If so, you saved me a lot of work and wasted money. Thanks again!
