So last night I sprayed down my engine...not full blast...practically mist. The engine was not on when I did this. But this morning when I started it up it cranked and then wouldnt start so I let off and right as I let off it tried to start and made a weird noise. Now when I start it it revs up to around 3000 RPMs then goes back down and shuts off. I goes up and down in one continuous fluid motion. I can push the gas pedal and rev it to keep it on but if I let it off it just goes down and shuts off. So I am not sure what the problem is.

ANY HELP FROM ANYONE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

THANKS

I combined your threads into a single thread..

As for what you described.. I would first look for a vacuum line disconnected. The motor can usually stay running if the vacuum leak is small, but if you have a big leak (i.e. cruise control hose is off) and the engine is cold it may not stay running.

it wont go into drive or reverse or anything either

And Both Times Water Came Shooting Out The Tailpipe....enough To Make Pretty Big Spray Marks On The Ground.

That last thing is problably bad. Water coming out of the tailpipe (not the little you get when its cold out) means blown head/intake gasket or a cracked head.

I'd say its time to do a compression check. If if the head/head gasket you will have low compression on the bad cylinder(s).

You may have a couple of problems. Can you hold the throttle steady at say 1500-2000 RPM or do you need to continually pump it to keep it running? Is the CEL on? Is it running rich, as in the "water" coming out the back really soot and random moisture? You can check the water problem by seeing if the radiator is getting low on coolant or if the dipstick or oil fill cap is creamy beige. Can you describe the noise you heard in greater detail? Did you look for obvious signs of problems with a critical eye, ie broken loose cracked hoses, dripping coolant, gas smell etc??

it ran fine last night when I let it fun for a lil while after I sprayed it off. It sounded normal.

yeah I can hold the throttle steady at 1500-2500 rpms....I can hold it wherever I want. And it was at 6:50 in the morning so I didnt have good light and I didnt want to be late for class. The noise I heard was kinda like a KLUNK or possibly a brief grind. Its kinda hard to describe. the best way i can describe it on the computer it caachucnk

the water is just when I start up...WHAT IS CEL?

CEL is check engine light. I would check for vac hoses first then keep checking the coolant level. If the hoses all look good, as in perfect, not merely passable, read this: http://www.p71interceptor.com/repairs/iac/

what about the noise? and when I rev it sounds weird....almost like a "fuzzy: rev its not deep like usual

Where is the noise coming from? You need to find out the exact source. You might have blown a hose off of something or blown a gasket somewhere or who knows what. You might ask a friend to help you locate it while you work the pedal. You need to put a critical eye on the engine looking for things out of place or disconnected or worn or whatever.
