plug fogs into stock headlight switch

I want to know if there is a way to hook up my fogs to the little dinger thing so when I open the door is lets me know it is on. I have a 93 x

Best thing to do is make them ignition controlled so they turn off whenever the truck is off. I've tried wiring in extra buzzers and they never work correctly.
 






I don't think the stock wiring harness could handle the extra amperage from a set of fog lights. Your best bet would be to wire it to a relay.
 






Well yes, through a relay. And your extra fog switch gets power from an ignition controlled circuit so the switch can only be hot when the truck is on.
 






how would I put a relay on it. I have never dealt with relays. Can you walk it through with me how to wire up a relay to the fogs so that it will ding when they are on.

If you connect the fogs up to a ignition controlled circuit they will go OFF when you turn the ignition key off. No need for a dinger. Even if you leave the fog light switch on, the fog lights will go OFF when you turn the ignition key off. Use a lighted switch ( the right amp one) which may come with the fog lights, so next time you start the X up you can see if their on or off.
