i have 90,000 miles on my plug wires and will be upgrading them soon. i looked in my haynes manual and it seemed extremely easy to change my wires in my 96 5.0. i did a search here to try to help me decide which wires to use and if i would be able to do it myslef easily. i didn't really find a satisfactory answer for either of those questions.
what kind of wires should i go with?
can i do it myslelf withoug too much hassle?
should i consider some kind of a spark enhancing kit?
will my motorcraft platinum plugs with 20,000 miles have any negative effect on the performance of the wires?
what kind of improvements would new wires create?
if anyone has used a ignition upgrade kit on a similar application with success please tell me about it.
