plug wires

My 1994 x has 71,000 miles on it and runs fine. I have new plugs for it but was wondering should I go ahead and put new wires on it. Do these wires last 100,000 or not. The wires on my 94 t-bird were junk at 70,000. This made me want to go ahead and replace them on my explorer as well.

Go ahead change the wires too!

I changed my plugs and wires at 68k last week end. 60k is the maint. schedule so replace em' & keep a couple used long wires in the storage compartment for emergencies. I did notice a slight increase in performance with my Bosch Platinum plugs, the standard ones. It won't hurt plus you won't be second guessing yourself if you have problems later.
