i'm looking to get keyless entry for my explorer. i'm jsut wondering if anyone has used that unit off explorerexpress.com. it is supposed to plug into the existing wireing harness which would be a lot easier then messing with splicing one in. any opiniions on it are appreciated

thanks,
Jeff aka Lamah

I have the one from explorerexpress; it works fine. It's a tad bit pricey, but I figured it cheaper than replacing the door locks (they had started to show wear)

Only major complaint - finding the connector it needed was a royal pain.

I've had the battery disconnected, and never had to re-train it.

hrmm, where was the connector ? like in the kick panel or what

On my navajo, it was buried under the passenger side kickpanel, underneath the computer.

Had to take it all apart to get it in there.

BUT, there's a place there to put it all in there. the box fits nice and snug in there.

aiight, i think i'll buy it, thanks :)

now to find the money =/

i ordered it last night, so hopefully it'll be here next week. thanks for the info

got my package and got it installed. took about 5 minutes :) anyways, i highly recommend this unit. my only problem with it is that i'm not sure how to get it to use the horn or some sort of sign that its unlocked/lock. i can hear the locks go, but i still kinda want the horn. if anyone knows how to do this, let me know. if not, no big deal.

thanks,
Jeff aka Lamah
