MIL came on and after scanning it it came up with 4 codes. PO133 and PO153twice each. I have looked at some info on it, but it is a little wierd because today I replaced the sway bar bushings and sway bar end link bushings. I did spray some WD-40 on the old bolts and I repainted the sway bar black (engine enamel) (The bar was not on the car when painted). It just seems ironic that I was messing with it and now I have a Check engine light on. And I have never scanned a vehicle and it have the same exact code twice much less 2 codes twice. Just looking online it could be 15 different causes (besides replacing o2 sensors) from a MAF sensor to spark plug wires to needing seafoam in the gas tank.

PO133 heated o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 CKT slow response
PO153 " "2" "

Any help would be appreciated, I hate throwing parts at a problem without knowing what the problem is. By the way I used MOOG bushings and they look great.

I would like to add that I have only owned the mounty for a couple of days and tonight was the first time I have driven it in a hard rain. So it is possible it has to do with exposed wires and or moistsure is causing the O2 sensors to act up.

In a word, no. More importantly, how does the engine run? If it is running pretty well, the MIL is telling you the emissions may be unacceptable due to a failing O2 sensor.

I would delete the codes, if running OK, drive some more, and see how soon/if the codes return. My '96 threw a code "left bank catalyst outside level" now and then, I deleted it, and drove for weeks before it returned. We carried the code reader in the glove box, finally sold the vehicle, but kept the reader.

Bought 2004, reader will not work! Go figger! imp
