Police Fan Clutch

I am wondering if the "Special Service Police/DSO Heavy duty fan clutch" will work on my 01 xlt 5.0??? It is designed for mustangs but should work on any 302 5.0L ,right?

The only problem I would see is that the explorer pulley setup is closer to the engine block and is also lower under the hood. It may work, but if you want to free up horsepower, why not go with an electric fan?

why not go with an electric fan?

I already have this fan off of my mustang which I put an electric fan on. Not really looking to spend any $ on another setup. Just wanted to use it if I can.
