Good news that article Nate, especially these days. And yeah mate your truck would put many new vehicles to shame, not just the 2011 ex.

Its good to see ford is making progress...as I do want them around in several years. Sad to see the new trend, but it is understandable with fuel prices where they are. I do wish my Ex got the fuel efficiency of the new Ex.
--As for my running board sale...looks like someone who's local and honest has contacted me about them and I may have a sale sunday :) Good to see some people are honest! Well almost all people are here honest, very very few that aren't honest.
--I may have to buy some new nerf/step bars with the sale money...driving around the Grandparents occasionally (grandfather has eye sight problems, but he's in his 90's so its expected); its especially hard for my 5ft tall grandmother to get in and especially out of my Ex.

Maybe you could run a fold out step on the passender side that will help your grandma get in and out of your ex and that'll leave some money for you to buy your tail guards. Running boards and nerf bars can be a bit slippery sometimes. But its great you look after your grandparents, family is bloody important.

I reckon the hemi idea in their V8's is wicked for fuel economy. 4cyl. for when youre mellow then V8 for when youre not! I dont know why more manufacturers didnt adopt that idea?

Yeah, my grandparents need all the help they can get. They're definately healthy people, besides eyes and hearing aren't too good :(
Thinking of that ha ha I need to get a pic of my ex with my grandfather's 08 FX4 ranger...be a sweet pic. :)

Its a design thats out there but isn't a popular one (not widely used). Ford is investing in other technologies like ecoboost and hybrid and the newest TI vct engine designs.

Those engines have a lot of technology in em. When the cylinder deactivates it uses a few designs, which I won't go into detail, but imagine if something goes wrong during the cylinder shut off or turn on process.

aye, good point I wasnt thinking of that. I s'pose if we want big vehicles we pay at the pump. Personally I wouldnt trade economy for power altho' I do have hippy tendencies sometimes!:D
