looking for opinions and educated guesses. about a week ago i started hearing and feeling a pop, usualy from the passenger. nearly always happens when the brake is pressed and occasionally when turning left, but that usualy sounds like its coming from the center or the left front.

sticking breaks? tie rods ends? cv's?

anyone had the same problem?

I had a simular noise on my 04 EB and it was found to be the CV joint. The Ford dealership replaced just about everything (under extended warranty) before replacing what I had suspected anyway. I since traded it for an 07 XLT and the suspension feel is like night and day - for the better.

I would ck over front end (swaybar links, ball joints etc).

Just wondering if you figured out what was causing the popping noise up front. I am getting a similar noise but only when braking hard. I can hear the pop and feel it in the brake pedal, I tried to make it pop while turning and no dice there. So this only happens when braking and occasionally when going over a big bumps in the road.

I'm not sure what is causing this but am assuming its a sticking caliper, I wish it wasn't so damn cold outside so I can go out and take a look.

The whole front suspension feels really sloppy, making popping noises and a feeling that something is loose up there. I am kinda hoping that the balljoints or bushings are gone since they are all covered under my extended warranty.

I'm gonna be taking a look under there this weekend to see if I can find anything so I can walk into the dealer with all issues that need to be fixed.
