It is probably coming from your amp. If you unplug your RCA cables is it still there. If it is then there is not much you can do about it. What type of amp do you have. If the pop is not there with your RCA cables unplugged then there are devices out there called Pop Stoppers that can get rid of the noise.

I tried regrounding it and i cannot seem to keep it ground, the light on the amp stays on for a little bit then shuts off again,i have tried three different places to ground too and same thing happens,I think it is the amp. Thanks for your reply Brad in Iowa

I had that same problem

I used to have a Really old power accoustic amp (560 watts) It wouldnt ground easily, I found that the shorter the ground is the softer the pop got when i truned it on, Another thing you could try it using sand paper on the area your going to ground it to, Make sure it is bare metal. If your worried about rust they sell a sealer you just spray over the bolt. On my amp, i have it mounted Just behind the rear seats that fold down, I ran a 7 inch wire to the seat bolt, ground the bolt off on the bottom just a bit and then the bracket. I havent had any poping or anything.

the "popping noise" is usually caused by a bad ground. Usually the deck it sometimes happens when the deck tries to ground itself through the rca's. I would suggest process of elimination to find the problem. you could use the noise reducers as someone suggested but thats more or less a bandaid and the popping can still do damage to your subs. if you have a spare deck try a different deck or double check all you gounds especially the amp ground make sure its to bare metal (no paint at all) and make sure that your not running your rcas parallel to the amplifiers power cable as this is also a big source of noise in amplified audio systems. Dont get me wrong Im not a pro but I have done quite a bit of trouble shooting of car audio in my own projects and have asked alot of questions. hope some of this info helps GL

the noise is probably from ither an old or cheap amp. they will not have a newer thing called slow power up...the noise is the subs quickly getting all of the power as opposed to slowly recieving it
