I installed a trailer light plug on the 92. I found a connector in where the jack and lug wrench is located. It had all the color coded wires listed on a post I found on the board.

The wires slipped right into the pins on the pulg when removed so I sodered them in real nice and clean. Everything worked great ! Except when I hooked up and pulled out, nothing came out of the speakers when I turned the the radio on. WTF ???????

hmm - maybe theres a short in the trailer wiring somewhere. i am not 100%, but i believe the trailer harness uses the radio fuse, which would explain your radio if there was a short. so, check the wires to the trailer. if theres no problems, then your problem prob lies somewhere between your hatch and headunit.

No No No - Pay attention now if you're going to respond.

Like I said, rear lights work fine. The radio turns on (lights up) changes channels and such. It's just dead silence - nothing comes out the speakers. It's like the speakers were shorted out. Wondering If I was anywhere near a place where that could have happened. The speakers are in the back doors. I don't think speaker wires go back to the jack compartment.
