Just recently my Explorer rolls out of parking spots if on an incline, almost as it is left in Neutral. Many of my more mechanically inclined friends have told me that I may have an issue dealing with the drive shaft. Before I get up under there and start removing things, I just wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this problem.

Thanks all

Seen it before, I have...get up under there and have yourself a look. LMK

first off, what motor do you have. v6, or v8. in the v8 trucks, if you dont have a front drive shaft on it, it will "drift" in park, if you have a drive shaft, and it still does it, you have a problem in the transfer case which may be a bad viscous coupler

I have the V8 engine. Okay, so the problem may be with the transfer case? I'm going to have to remove the rear drive shaft and change the U-joints, maybe I'll drop the front drive shaft as well. Is there anything in particular I could look for to point me in the direction that it could be faulty?

If it's drifting in park with the front DS in, then your viscous coupler is toast. At least this is what I was told at the local Ford garage.
