Possible electric 1354 issues

Last Saturday on the trail my dash 4x4 and Low Range lights went on the fritz. The lights on the buttons stayed on at all times, but some times either of the lights below the cluster would turn off for no reason. It was usually in between obstacles or while getting pulled out so I couldn't tell whether it actually came out of low range or 4x4, but when I was moving it felt like 4low at all times.

I rebuilt my shift motor about four months ago.
Any thoughts? How can I try to test/diagnose this?
