I just had the trans replaced in my explorer, it was only about half full of fluid because I had to get more. My father didn't know, stared it up and moved the truck backwards about 30ft, how much damage do you think he could have caused in doing that.

It was only moved 30ft. As long as it was steady movement and not pedal to the floor it should be fine. The oil should still protect the tran if you move slow.
