Possible Sound Systems for 1998 Explorer XLT

I have a pretty standard 1998 Explorer in great condition, but there is only one modification I am looking to make: the sound system. It currently has all original parts, but the display on the CD/Radio console no longer works. I had it looked at and appraised, and I figured that while I'm at it, instead of just repairing it, I'll go for the upgrade. I'm wondering what can possibly be done to "trick" it out. It would be great if people could leave feedback as well as prices. Thanks!

I'd go with Alpine and JL everything, so it will quake out the whole block and wake everyone up,,, J/P
