1400 miles on my ST now, got on the gas some during the commute home. There is a canyon climb I make where there are a few places you can get a bit spirited if so inclined. After a few miles of more focused driving I could smell the heat from of the exhaust and brake components, presumably because they have not been up to full temp yet. Not concerned, just mentioning it cause I'm stuck at work watching data transfer (similar to paint drying or grass growing) and it was on my mind.

PS, I think the Sub STI was a bit shocked when I was pulling away from him :)

Lol, I took my wife's (yes, Insaid hers...) ST to my local dealer today to get a part replaced (noticed it scratched on day 2 when Inwashed it). The normal is a verybshsrp 90 turn to the right and when I floored it for the 1st time, I could not believe how much it pulled.. The sharp turn was taken at about 45mph and pulled up to 90mph..

WOW!!!

Now I have to come up with more excuses to swap vehicles with her.

Curious, what part had to be replaced?

So far, I had the dealer replace the sunglass holder as it would not latch, now its perfect. Also, the rear wheel trim on the drivers side was pooping out, they said there was a bent clip they fixed, what ever they did it now fits properly. Then there was the whole A/C issue, but after the PCM re-flash its been good (fingers crossed). Still need to get a rear shock as one is leaking, but its not urgent.

Just a side note, I can confirm the speed limiter is somewhere north of 120 :) (not tested it to the published figure yet)

Just cosmetic.. it is the driver's side Cpillar. I dont know if it was transit damage (**** flying in the air) or scratched from detail prep.

Oh, the detailer left a razor blade on my 2nd row seat.. my mother sat on it and didnt even know.. luckily no seat damage.

Not worried about your mother, eh. Seems the mother-in-law was the subject of a previous comment.:D
