I just sold my 2006 with 172,000. Yours is just a pup.

Regardless of warranty, you will go through front axle seals, front pinion seal and a radiator in the next two years. Guaranteed...

However, if the tranny is good (may consider a fluid change - not a flush ((too many miles)) from a reputable shop) you're good for at least 50K more miles.

Just bought a 2010 with 52K, looking forward to the next 5 years and 100K.

Best wishes, enjoy your '06

I purchased a 2007 XLT 4.0 with 164000 km in March paid $1500 canadian, so far I have replaced.
2 x front wheel bearings
1 x front drive shaft (torn boot)
1 x tire presure sensor
Thermostat and housing
Serp belt
Plugs and wires
High pressure front to back AC line
Windscreen
2 x spare keys, only came with 1 key
1 x fob

Used OEM parts except the drive shaft, have had great prices from local Ford dealer

Really loving it!

Must be a typo... Who would sell one with 102,000 miles for that cheap... Mine had 107k and was 8000 and some change... Was it rolled 15 times lol

Purchased the 2007 Explorer off a friend un seen who just had enough of it costing him a lot of money. I was worried over the coolant leak, but would have been happy to pull the motor and rebuild it, but as it turned out it just needed a thermostat housing.
Body and frame in great condition, wheels are ready to swap out.
Windscreen was cracked, forgot about that, just had it changed.
Price was not a typo,

I bought my Daughter's 2006 with 200k miles because I wanted her in a "tank" from a safety standpoint. But wow the problems.....multiple radiators, thermostat housing, water pump, now blower motor problems......

Have spent about $2500 in repairs in 2 years. Praying the engine and tranny holds out until she gets through college......

VMR on that one is close to 10k Canadian. For that price its worth wrapping it around a tree and having insurance pay you out.

ive never ran into a tree before do you have any pointers on how to do this so it will not hurt that much.... lol
