The power adjustable pedals and steering column recently stopped working in my 2016 Explorer Limited.

All other interior creature comfort items (seats, mirrors, lumbar, Sync, steering wheel controls, displays, etc.) are operating normally. I have not had any recent maintenance performed on the vehicle, and it has only 10,000 miles at this time.

I went through the manual to see if they shared a common fuse but couldn't see that either item had a fuse listed in either fuse compartment.

Anyone else had issues with the adjustable steering or pedals, or happen to know if they do in fact share a common fuse? :help: Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Forum Ian.
There is a fuse 13 in the cabin fuse box that is for the "Steering column control module". Not sure what that entails but it is also for the Instrument Cluster. Any issues with that? Not sure if pulling the negative battery cable for a few minutes would help. It would cause you to lose memory presets etc and likely restore everything to factory default.

Thanks Peter, I will take a look at that fuse. I have no other issues with the interior components of the vehicle. Only the power adjustable pedals and steering wheel adjustment is inoperable. I will try disconnecting the battery terminal if I can't find any other workarounds.

After living with the problem for a few months, I finally got my Explorer into the dealership to get checked out. It ended up being a faulty Driver Side Control Module part # GU5Z-14C708-G. All fixed now and working properly, my dealership did the right thing and gave me a loaner (Lincoln MKX), and the repair took three days due to part lead time and delivery.

Thanks for coming back and telling us the answer to this puzzle. It's good when there is a record of the data that fixes problems, not just the questions, it helps us all.
