How do you go about replacing the power antenna on a 95 Eddie Bauer? Mine will not go down all the way, so I figure somethings broke. Thank you...Sid

I would say you would have to remove the fender, then go from there.

you can do just the mast if the motor is functional.

1) turn the radio OFF
2) remove the nut and bezzel
3) have a buddy turn the radio ON wile you pull up on the antenna mast
4) observe the direction the teeth on the antena mast cable face
5) Spray some white lithium grease down the antenna hole
6) with the cable teeth facing the correct direction push the cable down into the antenna hole till it hits the bottom. ( it is not very far )
7) yell to your buddy to turn the radio OFF, as he / she does push and feed the antenna down into the hole, it will grab and walk its self in.
8) it might not go all the way down and that is fine, just put the bezzel and nut back on turn it on and let it fully cycle, turn it off and let it fully cycle. Twice should be enough.

I followed those directions and can't see or feel the mast cable going up or down. The motor is working, so I'm going to assume the cable is broke.Any directions on removing the motor and replacing it? Thanks....Sid

well if you remove the nut and bezzel and turn the radio ON the antena shuld push it self out. A little pulling to help it along.

The antenna comes out with no problem. When it was out, I cycled the radio and can hear the motor turning, but the cable is nowhere to be seen. I'm assuming with the antenna out, that the cable, if it is intact will extend out the hole where the antenna came out.

the cable will be with the antenna.
Plastic cable with teeth on one side.

The antenna has a white cable with teeth, and if you can't get it out that way go through the fender well, and take out the whole motor. Then you can take the front cap off the motor and manually twist out the antenna, teeth and all. This way is harder to take out and put back but you can tell if there is anything wrong with the motor, too.
