3 row power seat

yup - same problem - not working - strange - i"ve got power - i can hear the motor under the seat react to the switch but no movement. I thought maybe something just jamming it but no solution yet. Is there a manual override?

I've got an '06 with leather seats that tend to stick together when they closed for a long period of time, or loaded on top of when folded down.

I've never listened to hear if the motor is going or not, but if they're stuck, sometimes if i just give them a little help (push or pull) while pushing the button, that does the trick.

update

I should start off by saying that the seat came up about 3 inches and then quit. I can hear the motor running but nothing happens. Took it to the dealer (1200 miles left on bumper to bumper). They have to order a new motor. evidently the gear that turns the screw stripped and is part of the motor. I will post a part number when we get it installed and also pricing if it is available....

how to remove power 3rd row drivers motor

I have the same problem on my '06 Limited, but it is out of warranty. I messed around with it, and it appears like the gear is stripped. The motor is in 2 parts, the motor, and then the gear part that actually turns the threaded rod that makes the seat go up and down. You can take off 4 small silver screws and separate the pieces. I switched the motor from the passenger side to the drivers side and same issue. Question, how do you get the black part loose to replace it? Can you buy just that, or do you need to buy the motor too? (the motor works fine)

Mine was under warranty and they replaced the whole motor.

I have an '06 and experience this periodically. The solution? Get in the seat, face the rear, and shake it hard. Sounds odd...because it is. But it works. Got this tip from another person in this forum about six months ago. Even the dealer said this is what he did when we bought it used from him. Cheaper and easier than a new motor. Haven't had the problem in quite a few months now.

3rd row seat temporary fix

I know time has passed but to those that still have this problem I have a video on YouTube that might help

I hope you understood what it was that he did?

Same situation here...driver side 3rd row seat is stuck in the half-way position.

I kind of understand what's going on in this video...but am hoping for a bit more explanation? Looks like a hole was drilled in the area that the motor connects to the gear. As far as pushing in with the screwdriver, that's where I'm kind of lost. What exactly does that do?

Thanks in advance!

I posted this on a few threads; it uses a different kind of motor. Hopefully replaceable and can be changed without changing the whole 3rd-row-seat bracket assembly.
