I own a 2007 Explorer. The driver side seat on the second row will not snap back to the floor after collapsing the seat and folding it toward the front. I took it to the dealership and they quoted me about $870 for the repair. This seems outrageous. They quoted:
PART 6L2Z-7861383-NA $297 (latch assy - rear seat cushion)
PART 6L2Z-7861382-BA $317 (latch assy - rear seat cushion)
labor = $260
I looked online and was able to find these parts cheaper ($220 and $213), but it is still crazy expensive. Are both of these parts really necessary? Does anyone know how to fix this. I would even be OK if the seat wouldn't fold up again.
